KMG Teacher Development Services provides professional development and support for schools and school districts in the areas of teacher development, instructional leadership, and team building.
Instructional Coaching and Support
KMG will conduct observations, provide targeted feedback, resources, and deliberate practice opportunities to maximize teacher effectiveness. Teacher effectiveness goals and intended outcomes set after initial observation.
Professional Development
Topics can be delivered in 2 hour, ½ day or full day segments to full staff, grade level or content teams, or leadership team. See Professional Development Services Menu.
Problem-Solving Protocol
Using one of many research-based protocols, KMG will facilitate dialogue to help the school get to a solution for the identified challenge. The appropriate protocol will take place during a regularly scheduled full staff, leadership team meeting, or called meeting. Protocol ends in brainstormed solutions and next steps.
Instructional Rounds
KMG will facilitate observations to classrooms of excellence from various school sites. This includes:
- Overview with a member of the site’s leadership team
- Classroom observations
- Informal conversations with staff and students
- Debriefing conversation
Teacher/Leader Selection Support
KMG will provide research-based strategies and support to assist principals and/or education agencies in the process of selecting teachers and/or leaders who have the knowledge, skills, and mindset to best serve their stakeholders.
"As Needed" Services
KMG will design, facilitate, implement, and/or manage projects, sessions, or programs as needed/requested by the organization.
Learning Walk
KMG will visit your school and observe classrooms along with your school staff for 60-90 minutes. Following the observations, KMG will facilitate 60-90 minute debrief. These visits are most effective when a specific area(s) of concern has/have been identified prior to the observations. At the end of the debrief, a list of the following will have been generated: Strengths, Areas for Growth, Suggested Next Steps, Long-Term Solutions.
